PAINTING
I create in my pictures sceneries that simultaneously embrace and block out the pathos of kitsch and empathy of childhood: creatures like flamingos, dinosaurs, llamas, unicorns, toys or just parts of figurative elements are combined with abstract symbols, lines and surfaces. The small format seems like a visual puzzle and is a crossing between the medias painting, drawing and collage. The coincident use of different techniques-spray paints, acrylic, cut-out photographs as well as powerful brushstrokes, marker, and fluorescent colors generate the necessary tension between the concrete and the abstract.
